PA CareerLink® Lancaster County hosted their annual Community Resource Fair on Wednesday, February 28,2024. This event, that was started last year, is a way for the Lancaster community to connect with the staff at PA CareerLink® Lancaster County, employers looking to hire, and community resources.
Chrstine Roggenbaum, PA CareerLink® Lancaster County’s Site Administrator says, “The PA CareerLink® Lancaster County Community Resource Fair was another successful event. It was wonderful to have a variety of resources available to the community and to each other. Many great connections were made by the vendors and customers.”
PA CareerLink® Lancaster County created this event to give the Lancaster community a focused day to connect with employers and learn about different resources around the county. With six employers and eleven organizations, 40-50 community members came out to find their potential new career and network for the future. Even Mrs. Lancaster County, Kristen Hertzog, came out to support the vendors and film a short interview with The American Dream Network about the programs PA CareerLink® Lancaster County has to offer.
Kristen Hertzog, Mrs. Lancaster County, posts on her Facebook Page, “Thrilled to be part of PA CareerLink® Lancaster County’s Community Resource Fair! It’s heartening to see so many organizations uniting to empower job seekers with skills and sustainable employment opportunities. Kudos to all the partners who made this event remarkable!”
PA CareerLink® Lancaster County’s mission is to coordinate, develop, and maintain an effective and responsive system of programs and services that integrate the needs of employers for an ample and productive workforce with the needs of Lancaster County residents for meaningful work that enhances their quality of life.
